Kasper von Kohlstein is a very handsome 16 month old red/tan/black German Shepherd mixed with a touch of another breed. Kasper has a gorgeous reddish tint to his fur and he's such a happy, friendly 'puppy'. He is just one of those amazing dogs that someone without much hands on knowledge might overlook because he has a healthy amount of energy, but our lead trainer/volunteer calls it "Spirit."  Spirit to learn, understand, thrive . . . and thrive he did in just under 10 minutes.  He was sitting, did the "down stay," healed quickly, came when called and sat when "arrived."  All without treats.  He just basked in the praise.  Young, athletic, the best jogging, hiking buddy ever. Kasper fell hard for our volunteer, (and vice-versa).  He just kept looking up at his face asking what was next asked of him, and leaning into his leg for instant bonding.  Come meet our happy, and we do mean Happy New Year boy!
